Utah fans are going to be even more insufferable after this weekend, aren't they? Almost makes me want to cheer for Baylor, but eww.

Tulane and Arkansas going up and down the field against Kansas St and Okie State.

At least Michigan and Penn State are stinking it up today

Texas is very good. Sark is doing a nice job there.
Yeah I've said since day 1 people are overlooking what his potential there was. He is huge about culture and his first thing was weeding out players the first 2 years that had the typical Texas mentality of not needing to work for things or for eachother. His recruiting has been building and you could see even the first season how much his staff and players had bought in and responded.

He's continued to get the super talented kids they always have, but he's specifically looking for those that are also hard workers and team oriented. He was going to have to change the fan, media, coaching, and player perspectives and he focused on those things first.

I look at the job he's done similar to what CMC has done. Taken a bit lesser talent to find the guys that also have character and some sense of right/wrong and expectations. Sure, they will always have bad apples, but their issues were never talent and he knew that.

While I don't "like him", I respected his approach going into the job and how he's had a methodical process all along. His execution has been flawless (nearly). They now have the benefit of their brand, their money, their talent, but they also have the SEC edge for recruiting talent - which prevents them from having to settle for good character guys with measurably lesser talent. Now, they're also in the big leagues so maintaining that culture is going to be critical as they face more ups and downs.

Michigan getting pushed around
It was amazing all offseason how little people talked about how much Michigan lost on the field and the impact of a new coach. I expect them to be a fringe Top 25 team as they have a lot of youth and the current roster doesn't have nearly the talent of their past few rosters.

He’s had his problems both professionally and personally but it appears he’s got that all figured out. I won’t “root” for them by any means but I do like to see a person be open about their struggles and conquer their demons.

Of all the quarterbacks Gundy has had in the past im surprised they aren’t better there. Riding Bowman for another year might have been a mistake.

Why does okie state always start out like this?
They have the same issue we have - they can't have a complete and consistent season. Both either start hot and finish cool or (most often) start slow and get a LOT better.
