Watching the Miami game I am pretty sure this is what they will wear for pants soon in CFB.

The pants just keep getting shorter and shorter. Even though as far as I know the rule still says they must cover the knee.

On one hand I dont really care, but at one point they really pushed that rule, seems weird that they appear to not change the rule but also not care about it.
On the other hand when they get as short as some of these guys are wearing, it looks a little weird.

The rule requiring knee pads that cover the knee is still on the books, in both college and high school. Yet all you see on football fields everywhere are thigh-length pants with the knees uncovered.

It’s one thing to change a uniform rule. It’s entirely another for officials and sanctioning bodies to simply ignore a rule that remains in the rule book simply because it’d be too much trouble to enforce..

Way up there
Well. With osu most likely winning today I think BIG get 4 teams in.

I think we are going to see Oregon, Ohio St, psu, Indiana.
Penn St's marquee win is going to be Illinois, they won't get another shot at a top 25 team. Indiana will likely have an even weaker resume. I agree with you, it's probably going to happen but it's going to be gross watching the committee and the media justify this.

Different year, same ****. I don’t know why the networks keep getting hyped for this game.

Side note, imo Penn State year after year continues to show they can’t beat the really good teams, so why are they going to be rewarded with CFP berths exactly. Other teams from the ACC and Big 12 from an at-large standpoint may get beat bad by Ohio State in the CFP but we might not find out. We KNOW Penn State can’t beat these teams though.

In a word: ratings.

Here comes the spin already. Espn announcers talking about what the committee thinks of a BYU/ISU team versus the 2-3 loss sec schools and their strength of schedule.

Ohio State announcer made me puke. At least twice he said “world Famous” Ohio State Buckeyes.

And Illinois looks like they are going to drop another one. If they do they wont be ranked anymore.
