Griffey Jr is jacked these days
No kidding. He was skinny when he played.... now he's jacked.

Williams, Jenkins, Sandberg, Dawson too.Pretty dang cool seeing Griffey, Larkin, Bench coming out. I think some of the manufactured drama is a bit much.
He’s absolutely fantastic interview everytime I’ve heard him on the DP show.Bench was great on the broadcast.
Yes, and they should do it moreAre they interviewing a defensive player during the game?
Not terribly uncommon for this type of event, but I don’t think a 1st baseman is the best choice. Are they interviewing a defensive player during the game?
Yes, and they should do it more
That was awesome. Votto is a wiley vet, 1st is a position they can get away with it more, I thought it was really cool.Yes, and they should do it more
I thought it was kinda coolSeems dumb to me. I'm sure he'd have similar answers from the dugout while waiting to bat.
Not sure I agree. It’s an interesting perspective. There is just so much going on for a 1st baseman though, and because of that, I don’t know if that position is such a good idea.Seems dumb to me. I'm sure he'd have similar answers from the dugout while waiting to bat.
I'll never see Johnny Bench and NOT think of "The Baseball Bunch." What a great TV show from my youth.Bench was great on the broadcast.
Interesting. You think 1st is more conducive to that? In my opinion, only pitcher and catcher would be worse. That was awesome. Votto is a wiley vet, 1st is a position they can get away with it more, I thought it was really cool.
They definitely should. But Votto is probably in the top 1% of the guys that they could get to do it.Yes, and they should do it more
First basemen are pretty well known for being talkers and having convos with runners at first. Less hot shots than at 3rd and they have less ground to cover than 2nd/SS. Turning double plays while being interviewed is not going to work.Interesting. You think 1st is more conducive to that? In my opinion, only pitcher and catcher would be worse.
I mean…still great perspective and cool, but almost any other position…
Out of all the positions I'd think 1st base is the least likely to have to deal with the ball coming off the bat.Interesting. You think 1st is more conducive to that? In my opinion, only pitcher and catcher would be worse.

Yeah its arguably the easiest position to field besides the occasional digging out a poor throw. Only lefties are going to hit hard stuff at first base for the most part.Out of all the positions I'd think 1st base is the least likely to have to deal with the ball coming off the bat.
