Were the games CBS SportsNet today? I couldn't find them on my local cable, and we don't get that one anymore.

I watched the game and my thoughts are SA looked like the dominant team. The defense looks pretty good and the offense was pretty solid for the first 3 quarters. The O-line looked much better and there was an actual run game this week. The offense just couldn't get anything together in the 4th and threw the game-winning pick 6. Lanning looked pretty good. He had a couple of misses but also a couple touchdown-saving tackles. He did a much better job this week of getting to the ball. I think we will continue to see him improve week to week. I think these two teams are probably two of the top 3 teams.

Looks like more than a loan:
The Alliance of American Football today announced that Carolina Hurricanes Chief Executive Officer and Owner Tom Dundon has committed $250 million to The Alliance of American Football and will serve as chairman of The Alliance's board of directors, effective immediately. Hurricanes President and General Manager Don Waddell issued the following statement.

"This was a terrific opportunity for Tom to expand his investment in the sports world," said Waddell. "The AAF is off to an exciting start as a league and was founded on some truly unique and groundbreaking concepts."

Yeah, it sounds like Dundon just essentially bought the league. What does this mean for Ebersol and Polian?

I think they will still be around and be involved since they have been the face of the league. I think/assume they had a good business plan but needed more money otherwise I don't think he would have invested. That being said if you are investing this kind of money you want to have some control. Starting something up like this is a very expensive endeavor and I think they were smart to have a flat rate for players. With the TV contracts they made with CBS and the NFL network and decent ticket sales I think they can sustain but not having individual team owners and starting everything from scratch comes with a big price tag.

Hopefully, this is what they need to be able to survive. I really love the fact that they are focusing on putting out a quality football product and I think something like this is really needed and will be beneficial for many of the players.
