Taking this roster with a grain of salt, but still a couple of notables:

Brian Bobek: Started career at Ohio St. before transferring to Minnesota. Actually started 5 games at Center for the Gophers in 2015. 6'2 290, this is good news.

Joshua Bailey: Fr. listed at 290 (!!) as opposed to 260 in recruiting profile.

Mackenro Alexander: No sign of him on the roster, yet.
Justin Thomas: No sign of him either.

Eyioma Uwazurike: is listed, at 6'6 250 DE.

Colby Lafrenz: 6'6 320 pound Fr. walk-on OL from North Scott.

Ethan Staskewicz: 6'0 195 lb walk-on RB was multiple time all-state selection in Missouri.
Jeff Proctor: We ended up getting the small speedy RB who took visits to Mizzou and Mich St., didnt end up with an offer though.
Daric Whipple: 5'11 190lb walk-on RB ***grouped these three together because clearly we were searching for walk-on RB's due to numbers.

David Montgomery: Fr. RB listed at 225, hopefully can play the Joshua Thomas role this year.

Dylan Soehner: Fr at 6'7 280 (!!) still listed at TE, thought surely he would be an OL.
Josh Mueller: Fr OL listed at 6'6 280 (!!)
Keenan Forbes: Fr OL listed at 6'3 310 (!!)
Sean Foster: Fr OL listed at 6'8 285 (!!)
**I put (!!) behind these four names because those are some big freshman OL, different from 250-260 pound project OL we have seen in the past.

Zach Silbermann: 6'1 230 LB who was an All-Ohio selection. Sounds like he would have had some more offers in HS had he not gotten hurt in the 3rd game of the year. http://www.news-herald.com/article/HR/20160210/SPORTS/160219931

Not sure if this is the official 2016 roster, but surely is close.

Google "Brian Bobek and Iowa State" and you get nothing but Minnesota and Ohio State stuff. Interesting. Is he a covert grad transfer?

There's no way the Iowa state vs Opponent statistics aren't mistakenly flipped...

Thank you much, TheJackWePack5, for researching the new names. Really good stuff in there to ponder.

I noticed Carson Lensing is listed at DE, not TE as was supposed.

CMC sure seems to like TEs. Will be fun to watch some creative TE plays for a change!

Another article on Brian Bobek from 2015. With video.

"Now, Bobek said he is in the best shape of his life. He applied for a medical hardship waiver, which if approved would give him an additional year of eligibility for 2016. Bobek already has his undergraduate degree in business and marketing education. The extra year of eligibility would let him complete his master’s in applied kinesiology while still on scholarship."

Iowa State has added Minnesota transfer center Brian Bobek as a walk-on a source tells AllCyclones.com. Former 4-star out of HS.

You guys are telling me that a former 4 Star HS OL and Army All-American went to Ohio St., transferred to Minnesota, got a 6th Year from the NCAA, and is a Walk-On now at Iowa St.

I gotta call ********

Jeff Proctor is a good add too. He is small but he is a play maker. Can't understand why he didn't have a bunch of non -P5 offers. His tape is great and his high school plays in an area of Indiana that is known for good football teams. Seems like a kid that might show up on the field in a couple of years.
