Stormin, if we start out 1-2, those attendance #'s will not be good at all.

First 2 games are at home. Guaranteed sellouts. Then we have a game at Toledo. Bye week. And then a home game against Kansas. Half of our home games are played in the first 1/3 of our schedule. Attendance numbers will be great for those 3 home games. Pollard knows that.

The next 2 games are Oct. 17 against TCU, which will have a Heisman contender on that team in Boykin. And then there is Homecoming against Texas on Halloween Day.

We have a newly expanded stadium with lots of new features.

I bet even those crying the loudest with their complaints attend at least one or two games at Jack Trice next year.

I think they will soon have to bundle Football season tickets with Basketball season tix's. That way they can at least sell 14,356 football season tickets.

I agree that raising ticket prices is stupid, but to call them "already high" is wrong. High for the product on the field? Maybe, but ISU has some of the most affordable ticket prices for both football and men's basketball. With tickets as low as 175 for a reserved seat and 99 dollars for a hillside I don't think we can really complain about "high" ticket prices. There is a reason our attendance has been so high with such a poor product.

Almost all teams have "cheap" tickets. I'm taking about regularly priced season tickets. We are solidly in the middle of the Big 12. Well above Baylor, TCU, KU, and more.

I don't know what the new numbers are, but we are barely above KU in terms in ticket prices. I can garuntee you Baylor AND TCU will raise their ticket prices this off-season, so we will still be next to KU and TTech.

I don't know how you sell hope. The defense is horrible and Oline continues to be a mess. The recruiting is not getting any better and may be getting worse. Banking on JUCOs to turn around the team is always a risky proposition.
