If Chicago State is early part of Emerald, we have these confirmed opponents:
vs. Colorado
Chicago State
Iowa
vs. Northern Iowa

Confirmed schedule, opponent pending:
Alabama State, Chattanooga or Jacksonville State (Emerald home game 2)
vs. UAB, Illinois, Virginia Tech (Emerald semifinal)
vs. UAB, Illinois, Virginia Tech (Emerald championship/consolation)
at Big 12-SEC Challenge

3 home
4 neutral
1 (probable) road game (BigXII-SEC)

Five more slots available. I'm guessing all of them will be home games, and probably four are small-conference or sub-mid-major. Hoping a good home-and-home would be the fifth option.

We play Virginia Tech for sure in the semi-finals.

Shaping up well. Not fantastic, but solid.

I think the other Emerald Classic home game is vs. Chattanooga — can't locate my source at the moment.

Definitely correct on that one. I'm always too lazy to source. The source is probably earlier in this thread.

So far only three non-con games are at Hilton. I'm guessing the rest of the slots will be filled with the usual small programs that get cut a check to come to Ames.

You know there's at least one MAC-level team coming in for the annual, "**** Off Chris Williams By Scheduling a Game on New Year's Eve Classic"

Today, I can't find where I saw ISU-Chattanooga as the final piece in the Emerald Coast puzzle. Maybe I dreamed that.

Regardless, three or four slots remain, and most are likely to be Hilton filler, as CyFan61 said. It would be cool to get at least one additional "interesting" matchup, though. I'm not banking on it. But so far, Iowa is the only non-conference home game with any buzz attached.

It looks like those games will fall into (roughly) two 10-day stretches on the calendar: Between conclusion of Emerald and the Iowa game; and @Cincinnati to Big 12 opener.

I'd love for there to be another non-conference solid home matchup, but I think that all that's left for room is fluff, unless we really want to get tough.

2015-2016 Confirmed:
2 Away (@Cinci & @SEC Challenge)
4 Neutral (Colorado, UNI, Virginia Tech, UAB/Illinois)
3 Home (Chicago State, Iowa, Chattanooga)

2014-2015 Non-con:
1 Away
4 Neutral
7 Home

Has the @SEC been confirmed or is it juyst assumed since we have had 2 road games in a row? Last year we were all sure we would have a road game because the previous year we played Aurburn at home.

I think it's an assumption but a fairly safe one at that. Iowa State is the only team to have played two home games in this challenge, in either the Big 12 or SEC.

Yeah I agree, was just wondering if it has actually been 100% confirmed somewhere.

Maybe we get home games every year in the SEC game.

Only Kentucky exceeds a big game in Hilton.

I thought I read somewhere that, by agreement, you cannot have more than 2 home games in a row in the Big 12 SEC challenge.

Is Burton going to be looked at for a waiver to play the whole season or when is the ncaa done giving out waivers?

I think the hardship waivers ended immediately when they changed that rule end of last season....so he can either, and I would expect, play start of second semester ( miss first 9-10 gms) this season as a junior, or sit out all of 2015, and start 2016 season as a junior.

Looks like remaining four will be at home, assuming 13 games. If even one of those could another home-and-away, this schedule will be solid (still not brutal by any means).
