Yeah I'm not saying it'd be terrible to lose out and possibly get a top 2 pick. But I'm a diehard fan and can't hope my team loses. I do understand what you're saying though. It'd be great to have a franchise guy like Luck.

During the game I find myself rooting for them and hoping for positive plays, but if losing out means not having a season like this for another 10 years I'm on board.

It sure would be nice to not have a season like this one for a long time. I don't see us losing out, but it's possible I suppose.

Since the Vikings season is pretty much over, I decided to take a look at some early mock drafts and not really liking what I have seen so far. A few of these sites have QB Brett Hundley going #3 to Minnesota. I'm not so sure he is 1st round quality right now. Mariotta should go #1 to Jacksonville. Tampa at #2 I would imagine go with Clowney. Minnesota #3 should go Bridgewater. I would have no problem going with LB Anthony Barr, if they think they can snag someone like Derek Carr in the 2nd round. If anyone else has looked at any mock drafts, please share your thoughts on your team.

This one has Kyle Lichtenberg going in Rd. 7 to SF HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! And Kirby going as the 4th to last pick to NE. They also have Derek Carr going towards the bottom of the 4th round.

The Steelers taking Clowney with their 3-4 scheme is just a dumb pick. Especially with the 2nd best OT still available.

This mock doesn't have the Steelers taking OL until the 6th and 7th rounds. Unlikely.

Had Mariotta voiced that he is looking to go pro after this year? I always assumed Manziel was, but Mariotta is a quiet kid who I could see maybe coming back.

Could be interesting. If he's slated to go top 5 it might sway him. Something about the Pac12* makes QBs want to come back for their Senior years though.

Also, besides the Ponder pick, the Vikings have had really good drafts with a lot of young players making big impacts right away.

Yeah, the Vikes are so young and inexperienced. Let them grow a couple of years.

I think Teddy Bridgewater will be fantastic in the NFL. He's big, strong, and athletic, but he doesn't overly rely on his athleticism, he lets his arm do most of the damage. I think he will be better than Mariota so hopefully for the Vikes, The Jags or Tampa falls in love with him. Hopefully one of them decides to take Clowney and whoever is there at the top of the 2nd.
How big is terry?

Steelers have so many needs, think if Clowney was available they'd take him. He'd either replace Worilds & be opposite Woodley, be Woodley's heir apparent, or even maybe take over Keisel's spot. Think he's the kind of player you just make room for, whether you run 3-4 or 4-3. No way they pick another DE/OLB in 2nd round if they chose Clowney in 1st.

They need OL help but have invested too many higher draft picks on it over the past 2 drafts. I think they try to address defensive needs (replacing playmakers in front & as well as defensive backfield) before OL.

I don't know. They haven't drafted a Left Tackle which they badly need. If Lewan is available I think they take him.
