Here is Iowa State's description and ranking from this system:

I thought Iowa State was the 3-4 seed, that talked about hardly losing at home. I think both had the similar ratings, though.

I'm trying to do it without reading the synopses and only paying a little attention to seeding. You can tell exactly who's who and bias returns.

Did it again without looking at seeding or the summary and got

Florida, MSU, Arizona, and WSU

With Florida over Arizona

Had ISU losing to Providence

I like the idea but I don't really think it does a very good job with the assessments of teams.

Wow.

I got:
Florida
Michigan State
Creighton(!)
Louisville

Florida over Creighton

Villanova knocked out Iowa State (even though I knew who we were when I was doing it ...)

Other than Creighton to championship, a lot in the bracket I did that could happen, maybe I'll use it for reference.

There was another one (that I think is Michigan) with a description something like "good offensive team in top conference. Occasionally naps on defense." Almost describes ISU (but apparently Big Ten is "top conference." ...)

Crazy. Just did it without reading any of the descriptions. I got Iowa State beating Kansas in the FF, Wichita State beating Creighton, and WSU beating ISU for it all.

Creighton vs Witchita State
Florida vs MSU

MSU vs WSU

MSU wins it all.

Did not read descriptions as that would give it away.

If they were a good 3 ball team and mostly if they were experienced I tended to favor them more.

Since we are the late game, we might be down to about 36 teams when we play with two games to finish.

Very good brackets, i feel like they over/underrated a few teams. I'm always afraid of having a pro Big XII bias. Could figure out what some teams were but had lots of upsets. All 5/12 seeds lost. Had an elite 8 of
UCLA, Kansas, Mich St, ISU, San Diego State (think they are overrated here), Baylor, Wisc, Louisville, and Duke.
Then
Mich St over Kansas and Louisville over Baylor with Louisville winning it all.

It probably doesn't apply across the board, but I bet if everyone reassessed our picks, we could see a pattern of how much we value offense, defense, rebounding and experience (whichever you lean toward as bigger advantage would be reflected more heavily).

I tend to value good offense/so-so defense over great defense/so-so offense.
And I put a lot of stock in experience (if the gap is more than "one star") which would help explain my Florida-Creighton final.
