So the packers lose and Rodgers numbers have dropped drastically over the past few weeks, is there a chance that Brees can win it as he continues to produce week after week? Yes I am a bears fan but i am tired of hearing how amazing Rodgers is but its their offense as a whole that are winning games not just him. Also Brees will break some records this year like the passing yards and perhaps completion while Rodgers will break what passer rating wow.

Brees should be in the discussion. He's been unreal the last 6 weeks or so.

Rodgers could sit out the remaining games and still win running away.

I wouldn't say he is the best, but I would put him in the top 5 and a great fit for the system he is in. At the end of the day you can't ask for much more than that.

Also, do you know how the passer rating is determined? A higher rating is better. It means that the QB is completing passes and touchdowns and not throwing picks in the mean time. Brees deserves to be in the conversation, but so does Rogers. Your basis is showing.

Rodgers is still living off his high ratings from earlier in the season while brees is picking it up and is on a tear (has cut down Rodger's td lead to 2) and is on pace for the completion record.

Be more biased.

NFL Stats: by Player Category

Brees has more yards and a higher completion percentage...

Brees has slightly fewer touchdowns and a few more interceptions...

Brees has a ton more completions and attempts than Rodgers...

Looks like they're about the same to each other, statistically. However, given the last category I highlighted there, I would probably go for Brees at this point.

Packers fans, feel free to hate.

So you punish one guy for being hot early and fading and reward the another for getting hot late? Their stats are comparable over the season regardless of who is hot now. Just because he is on pace to doesn't mean it will happen. Talk to me when the season is over and he has actually done it.

PS- There is no hatred on my end, but I don't get the hatred to Rodgers. He is among the elite and deserves to be in the discussion. I'm not saying he deserves it over everyone else, I am saying wait till the season is over before you crown one above the other when they are so close statistically.

I don't hate him I hate the hype that is around him. The entire packers offense is great, take him out and their still scoring alot of points. This is the year that many records will be broken but none from him yet he is having on of the best seasons as a qb(and not bringing up Brady or Brees). Does that make much sense?

If you look at Rodgers and Brees, you will notice neither quarterback has a great surrounding cast with position players. ie: wide recievers and running backs. TO start the season 13 -1 has to mean something. I have a feeling both qb's could win out the regular season easily.
On that note I can see both teams in the NFC Championship game. Personally I could call that game a toss up. Rodgers is great but I have to give the MVP to Brees. He's got moxy!

I would take Brady.
