These two just showed up this morning:

KCWI (809)

WGN (825)

That makes all the locals (WOI, KCCI, KCWI, IPTV, WHO, KDSM), plus a handful of nationals (WGN, ESPN, ESPN2, FSN, TNT, TBS, CNN) and some other specialty networks.

Indeed. Since Comcast isn't an option for non-cable folk in these parts, WGN-HD will be a somewhat acceptable replacement.

Let's just hope it's not another 15 innings tonight.

How many hours of HD content can you record (assuming it is a DVR as well)?

I am trying to figure out how we don't have WGN HDTV yet in Kansas City...I get the extra innings packages and i see alot of the games are broadcasted in HD but i don't get to enjoy it

How nice...

DirecTV has a LOT more HD channels than that (not taking jabs at you - I'm taking jabs at Mediacom proclaiming the addition of these channels as some great accomplishment).

If these channels are anything like their TBS HD channel, they're worthless. There is barely any HD programming on TBS HD. Most of the old sitcoms they rerun probably weren't recorded in HD so that's understandable. But they play a lot of movies, none of which are in HD either which really bothers me. Their next-channel-neighbor, TNT, has plenty of HD content. TBS did actually have a baseball game in HD on Sunday, but that's all I've seen.

I really don't need all those HD channels anyway. I get discovery, espn's locals, tnt, comcast sportsnet. Sure more would be nice but it is ok for now.

You don't? I swear I remember paying extra for HD with mediacom.

The extra money is for the channels that aren't in the normal cable lineup such as HDNet and Discovery HD Theater. If you get a channel on the normal cable then you should get the HD version for free.

Also, When will Mediacom get Discovery HD in addition to HD Theater!!!

You still do, for some of the channels.

In Cedar Rapids, we get the locals plus ESPN, ESPN2, Comcast Sports and TNT for free in HD with the basic service.

If we can get WGN in HD, I will be in Heaven...
