Was listening to Pat and Ron today.
What was the deal with the ump warning after the 8th and the Sox 3rd base coach after that?

All they showed on tv was their batter took exception to a pitch. He had words leaving the field. The 3B ump got in between and that caused warnings to be issued.

Top of the inning ump was beyond the dirt in LF the 3rd base coached jogged out well past the box but did stay in foul territory. Must of said something because the ump made a bee line for him.

Figured Shaw would be headed up when the news that he was pulled from the lineup the other day. Let's hope the hot bat continues and he is the answer at 3B. Ballesteros probably only has a few more games to do something before he likely goes down when Happ comes off the IL. Small sample size with 1 hit in 12 AB. 0 K and 2 walks so he's making contact at least. Unless Turner gets DFA probably not enough AB to keep him up for now and even if they did that probably best for him to head back to Iowa to get more work in behind the plate until there is more opportunity to play in Chicago.

From what’s been reported Turner is playing the mentor role in the clubhouse and his bat has started to show some promise. Probably best for Ballestareos to go back down and work out some flaws. From what I’ve seen he makes mostly solid contact but too many ground balls. He’s shown he can take the ball out to all fields just needs to improve his contact angle a bit.

With Happ back he'd really just be down to starting every 4-5th game at DH and having pinch hitting opportunities here and there. For that, you'd just as soon have Turner. Let MB have regular ABs and call him back up if the opportunity presents itself.
