Rory earlier, now Scottie? What the hell?
I guess it happens a whole lot more than is commonly known.

These guys hit so many balls and obviously mostly right on the button that the face gets springier
than is allowed.

That’s along with a lot just cracking or breaking completely.

I didn't realize they tested ~50 of the guys in the field this week. At that point, just test everyone.

This should be Rahm's response when asked about that tee shot on 17

If he ends up T-3 instead of 2 or T-2 I'll be curious to see how much money he lost. Obviously doesn't matter for him but crazy when 1 choice can take away 100's of thousands instantly

Edit: or worse with that final tee shot

I think he'll be fine ;)

Scottie has now converted 8 straight 54 hole leads into victories. No one has come close to doing that since Tiger who was unbeatable on Sundays.
It couldn't be more clear that Scottie is the new dominant force in golf. It would be interesting if Bryson and Rahm were fighting it out with him weekly, but I just think they lose just a little bit with the added pressure of only being there in majors and from not having that competitive edge that the grind of the tour gives you.

Scottie’s on another level right now. If he stays healthy and playing the way he has he could end up with the slam of his own in the next few years. Hell, he could win the US open or Open championships yet this year. Seems every week he tees it up his name is near the top of the leaderboard. Unreal golf from him.

He has the best mental game in golf right now, and it isn't particularly close. Pair that with being all world with his approach shots and that is a hard combination to beat.

I would bet you've seen the last Quail Hollow major, really nice regular tour event but teetering on the edge of too tricked out.

Plus, the Texas boys were some pissy about not getting to clean the ball after their tee shots.

They'll be back in heaven this week.
