Book of Mormon night two was fantastic! Agreed that it was tough to understand some of the lyrics and dialogue. It definitely helped knowing the soundtrack already but if I didn’t I would’ve been a little lost at times. The female lead was great but thought the guy that played Elder Cunningham was the star of the show. His comedic timing was great

I know New Braunfels is heavy German

The whole Hill Country region was settled by German immigrants in the 1800s. They even spoke a German dialect amongst themselves that my Grandfather was still fluent in (b 1898). It was dying out when my father came of age in the 1940s. There are remnants of it there stil, and someone a while back told me a book was written about it but I don't recall who.

I was in rural China and i was surprised how similar it looked to here. Not sure why I was there. But there was this bar where all the local Americans would hang out.
