You're not hiding the eggs right. They should have to work for it! ;)
The main thought came from a public "hunt" we "went" to on Saturday. Kids were being themselves so we pulled up at the 10AM start time and they were very punctual on the start as they all went running into the field as we pulled in. It was all over in a matter of 3-5 minutes and we went back home. When I hid for our kids on Saturday afternoon they had to work harder for them as most were not just thrown around the yard with the difficulty getting progressively harder for from youngest to oldest. Pretty much the same at MrsWx's grandma's yesterday but I was chastised for making it too hard as the apparently several of the kids don't look under and around things.

I took my older son to a community egg hunt when he was 15 months old and I was about 6 months along with his brother. They used real hardboiled eggs. He toddled over to the one closest to him in the baby section, picked it up, looked at it, then dropped it. He proceeded to the next one, same result. He then came back to me empty handed. I pointed him back to the eggs; he went back and got the first, then the second, and came back to me with one in each little fist. He then smashed them together and giggled as they disintegrated.
So I suppose it was a "successful" hunt, as he was very happy with the result. :D

Just what I was waiting for. Now I can blame you if this doesn't go well.

I was the youngest of my siblings so this happened before I can remember. My youngest sister was just a toddler and still in diapers - cloth diapers with those rubber pants over them. Well on this particular Easter they had the egg (actually jelly beans) hunt throughout the house and all of the candy appeared to be collected. Well my other sister who was a couple of years older found on the floor what she thought was a jelly bean that had escaped detection so she popped it into her mouth. Apparently it wasnt a jelly bean but something that had escaped from my other sister's saggy cloth diaper. Older sister came to Mom crying her eyes out as you might imagine after tasting that poop bean. My brothers never let her forget it.

Happy Easter!!!

So who wants a good Wx whiney/WTF/how do I handle/take this post?

Wx is the youngest of two. My sister is a couple of years older, never dated, lives in her own house but highly dependent on our parents for getting things done (mowing, yardwork, replacing light bulbs, really damn near everything), doesn't really cook (goes to my parents several nights a week for dinner). She has battled various mental illnesses (depression and anxiety but I suspect there is more there) her whole life and never fit in, as a nearly 40 year old woman she has one friend and doesn't go anywhere besides her home, grocery store, work and our parents.

Okay so as nicely as possible I think that set's the picture. We are at my parents for Easter dinner last night and I don't remember how we got on the topic but I am ribbing my parents about being older (they turn 69 this year) and needing to put them in a home at some point when my sister drops the nugget that she has POA. We moved on but MrsWx and I both privately went WTF.

I am FAR from perfect with my own issues but I am honestly shocked. She was so stricken with anxiety when she bought her house that she couldn't help physically move things and instead sat on the couch clutching a pillow but that is the person that will have near/end of like care decision making power etc.?

MrsWx wanted me to bring it up last night but I declined and as I would rather get my head on straight and talk 1 on 1 about it with just my dad as he is much more approachable and less emotional than my mom. She would just throw it back at me and be offended.

Anyway happy Monday!

Nothing like an email from a vendor saying they need an urgent reply coming in at 3p. Yes, some of the invoices the vendor is showing not paid could be blamed on the disaster that was the software upgrade last summer, but not all of them. Gave them a LOOOOTTTTT of documentation to get those invoices dropped off the statement.

That show Chopped is strange. They give you a box of dried cat poop, a can of anchovies, a bottle of coke and some vanilla double stuffed Oreos and ask you to make a meal for for the Queen.

Not exactly sure.
Had a piece of toast for breakfast today.

Got home from work and the wife said she threw the bread away because it was moldy. Didn’t seem to taste any different this morning.
