Had a piece of toast for breakfast today.

Got home from work and the wife said she threw the bread away because it was moldy. Didn’t seem to taste any different this morning.
Reminds me of being in fifth grade and trying to decide on a science project. After it was too late, I decided I wanted to grow mold in bread that could be turned into penicillin. Not near enough time so I had to settle for trying to make a rudimentary telephone that really didn’t work very well.

Mrs. Velo is incapable of using the last quarter of a loaf of bread.

"Why is this bread in the garbage?"

"It's old."

"Today is Saturday and we opened it on Wednesday."

"It's old."

"I'm old, are you going to throw me out?"

<uncomfortable silence>

If it has a white speck on it she can't identify "it's moldy." I am constantly having toast with the last of a loaf so it doesn't needlessly get thrown in the trash.

Of course your telephone didn't work. A telephone is a terrible place to try to grow mold.

Not exactly sure.

For me, I examine the loaf first. If mold is on over half the pieces, it gone. If it’s one or two or like 10-20%, I throw away the bad ones and rip off the small spot on others and use them. Same with buns.

I’m cheap.

Saw this new billboard on Lincoln Way in Ames this morning and laughed out loud. If you’ve driven in this area, you’ll understand.

I've never seen so much rain disappear so fast. We quit early because we thought it was going to downpour for a while because that's what the radar showed, but nope. It's like someone in Janesville has an anti rain machine in their basement.

Thunderstorm Wed night had a little hail with it, not enough to hurt anything

I watched the latest OKC bombing documentary on Netflix. Very well done IMO, at the end they show that the one guy and his wife that "got off" are it witness protection and it got me to thinking that you could theoretically come in contact or know someone in WP without even knowing it. Makes you wonder if you have.

I should probably just start shanking my neighbors just in case.

Considering where my wife is from, I ran into a few relatives of ones in WP.
