Time for Milan to put an entire season together as a Junior and not dissappear during key games. Illinois 24. Ole Miss 25. Seems to have NBA talent when he's on. But then just flat out vanishes when it means the most. Not knocking his personalty or character which appear to always be top tier.

MM's 2025 shooting stats. The variation in the FG% from game to game, particularly from the start of conference games is...interesting.

Good to see double digit shot attempts in 9 of the last 11 games though, felt like early on he just shot open 3s or the fadeaway but didn't post anyone up or drive. Hopefully can do that every game next season.

Biggest key is him being able to create for himself more with the ball in his hands or being able to relocate and get shots off. Otherwise, he's entirely dependent on someone else to get in the paint and find him for a stationary spot up, which seems like the biggest culprits of those games where he's just lost in the flow.

Didn’t Christopherson have similar issues as an underclassman? I thought he had seemed to have up and down games until he put it all together later in his career.

When Milan has had to be THE guy, he’s been so good for stretches. I hope he takes an expanded scoring role next year, with another offseason of work he could be lethal

With what we lose, he’d should be planning on leading the conference in scoring.

He’ll have all the usage he can handle next year

This. Bad taste in my mouth for his games against Illinois and Miss St.

The thing that was a little sad was that when Milan wasn't hitting the deep ball against Houston or BYU he became a force from 2 with his post moves and turnaround jumper. He didn't attempt to do much of that against Mississippi. The dude is capable of lighting up the scoreboard even when he's not hitting the deep ball, but some games he doesn't seem to try and score inside. He has insanely good moves down low when he gets close to the basket. I'd like to see him try more of that next season.

The way Mississippi was collapsing on the interior, kick outs for wide open shots were a better option than forcing a shot through a double or triple team. It's really as simple as, had we been making open shots, Mississippi would have been forced to pick their poison. Our inability to force them into that decision is why they won.

Everyone but CJ vanished in that game, just didn't hit wide open shots. The fact that he kept shooting his shot was a big step forward this season. He was also playing better defense and rebounding more. Getting stronger so he can post up will open up his game more.

A number of times this year we had Milan on the wing and Jefferson in the post, Jones on the opposite wing or corner. Toss it in and out between JJeff and Milan, just let them work, kick it weak side for an open look if the defense collapses. That was an effective play and hope we run it a lot next year.
