ISU has been consistently better than those two programs over several seasons though.
FF runs don't just happen--even the best teams need some luck.
If Laetner doesn't catch that ball vs. KY Duke just goes home.
The 99-00 team let their 15 seed tie it up after leading by 20 and had to hit free throws in the end to close it out.
Playing well or not, ISU would still need to get the right match ups.
No it’s a bad game, no silver lining on this one but to be as miserable as some people are on here about it would be exhausting
Who is the leader behind closed doors after a loss like this? Unfortunately I don’t see it on the court. It is obvious to point out who it is for the top teams in the country, I don’t have a clue who it is for the team I watch every second of.

This is crazy to me. I go back and forth trying to decide if Jefferson is our best player or our worst.
I’m also tired of our media personalities making up every excuse as to why Iowa State struggles and loses some head scratching games.
