Getting a bit too wrapped up in the numbers. Numbers are nice but in the end only worry about what you can control.

Was Haliburton less of a PG because Nixon couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat?

Numbers are nice but only worry about what you can control.....WTH are you talking about.

I *think* the point is that A/TO is dependent on teammates, e.g. numbers will be better if you’re passing to Naz or Georges rather than Prentiss or me.

I think.

Yeah I understand that accept for the fact that Marshall was 13-19 in Kane’s junior year and ranked 219 in Kenpom. Monmouth was 18-13 last year and ranked 201 in Kenpom. Hawaii was 17-14 last year and ranked #208 in Kenpom. It’s not like Deandre had deadeye shooters and NBA prospects on his team at Marshall.

Kane’s biggest knock was his attitude.

He had run ins with coaches and teammates both at Marshall.

That was far more the concern than his game, although he wasn’t known for his shooting prowess

Yes, you pretty much nailed it. Sitting on their asses looking at stats like a spread sheet tell only part of the story. Rochclone likes to tell us who's better based on their numbers. Simply stayed that isn't always the case.

I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were out in the field scouting these guys.

Completely agree. Kane’s stats and advanced numbers far exceeded the people we are currently looking at. Do say that the Monmouth kid is a better player than Kane was at Marshall is just not supported by stats or the eye test. All of these transfers could benefit our team in a small regard but only Brown (maybe Coleman-Lands) is a game changer.

In a higher volume offense. I said not as good, just similar in the pure PG aspect. Morris wouldn’t have averaged as many points in a slower paced offense either, obviously.

Morris was the 5th best college basketball for bart torvik in 2017.

He was #13 in 2016.

Buggs was the #1652 player in 2020.

Please stop this.
