I hate for all the guys that missed out on opportunities at the NCAA, but I figured this is how is had to be.

It would raise heck with scholarships and budgets and have to take in consideration basketball scholarships also and without their conference tourneys done, NCAA would be guessing whose season was probably done and whose wasn't.

Spencer Lee misses out on the chance to be a 4 timer, and Hall is done with a single title. Lujan robbed of a chance as well considering he was having a Jon Reader type of season. What a shame. Our team probably came out as well as any since their coming back en masse next year.

It does suck for the winter sports. Now that they have changed the Olympics to next Summer those wrestlers should not be able to sit out again. Could someone like Spencer Lee who still has a red shirt year could they use it on this season?

I feel sick for Lujan and Lee. I really do. This could mean the denial of 4 championships for Carr also, but we will never know.

He and Hall would be the two that could most use it. Think the won’t allow it and just make them go with an empty year. Lee gets Fix back at his weight next year as well. It’s not going to be a layup

This should really be in general college sports rather than Wrestling.

I feel bad for non-bball sports, because I'm sure any decision was made purely on mens basketball.

Wasn’t Fix at 133? He wrestled Gomez a couple times right. Is he changing weight for the Olympics?

Fix was a 33, yes. No telling what weight he will come back at (if at all. Got busted for addy a month or so ago...not to get off topic).

Did anyone other than Mimeo report that? Because no one at Stillwater knew anything about it.

Also Fix was only wrestling up last year to keep Picc in the lineup. He is competing for the 57 kg spot for team USA. That’s 125.4 pounds

I always thought Fix would wrestle 125 next year. He was small at 133 and I think he would seek the opportunity to beat Lee. Also, it significantly improves there lineup having him at 125.

Why didn’t Fix wrestle at Pan Ams?

My buddy who is a huge IA wrestling fan said they haven't had a 4 timer, which is pretty crazy. Lee had to have a great shot at it.

I am guessing they will have Fix at 125 and Kaid Brock at 133. Okie State will be pretty good next year

There have only been four 4-timers:
Pat Smith
Cael
Dake
Stieber

Do I like the ruling? No. Do I understand it? Yes, but if they're trying to avoid the chaos of scholarships, etc. won't they already have to do that with spring sports now?
