The Junior Worlds never started until 1973. Fun fact...Jimmy Carr (Nate's older brother)was the first US Junior World Champ in 1973. Also, Worlds only occurred ever other year until 2005. I believe USA only had 8-9 Champs from 1973 - 2014. Then Lee (2x), Hall (2x), Steveson, Fix and Mekhi Lewis from 2015 - 2018.

How long will it take for the will "Carr take an Olympic RS this season" which he can do but I'm sure he will not as now he is set up to finish NCAA career and then have a year to train for 2024.

Congratulations to David Carr on his his remarkable achievement on the mat! Looking forward to watching him compete for the Cyclones.

I had a jr high coach that used to say
“you’ve got to beat the man to be the man “

Here’s to David proving “ he’s the man”

I am shocked that no fellow CF'er has asked @jkbuff98 if Ric Flair was indeed his jr high wrestling coach, nor pointed out the correct quote is "To be the man, you've got...to...BEAT the man! Woooooo!"

Forever. I love David Carr but 74 kg is Burroughs for another cycle. You know, the guy that just won the Pan Ams. If he didn't go it would be Dake, Dieringer, or Valencia. Once again, love what Carr just did but you really left the station prematurely with that comment.
