I wonder what Kohls is getting in return from Amazon for this service. I didn't see anything mentioned in the article other than the hope for more traffic in their stores.

Really smart move by Kohls and Amazon both. Kohls places itself ahead of the curve in terms of department store diversity and Amazon gets to immediately utilize 1000+ locations logistically without overhead investment. It also wedges a foot in the in-person-purchase market for Amazon.

As the retail environment is changing Kohl's is experimenting with some things right now, with some of their stores partnering with grocery stores as well.

Amazon's really been pushing the amazon prime wardrobe thing lately as well, this could work really well with Kohls returns. Hell, they could even have a deal to just put some of those items out on the racks instead of shipping them to amazon.

If it goes well, maybe Amazon picks up Kohls like it did Whole Foods.

I don't return things to Amazon very often, but if/when I do this will be really convenient since Kohl's is just around the corner. I'm for it.

I don’t think they’ll take it back empty...

I almost started a thread last week on the wife taking me to Kohl’s and how it felt like I was being neutered. She bought a couple of button down short sleeve shirts for me. I’m a lesser man now....

So many disturbing things in such a short post.

I don't return much to Amazon, but I'm not sure how much easier it could be than it is now. I suppose there's a Kohls a little closer to my house than the UPS dropoff?

That being said, I think this is a good idea and probably will help Kohls get some people in the door.
