Makes sense, Go get your money while you can over seas.
If he keeps his head on straight he could have a nice career.
In other words... either nobody else wanted him for various reasons, or he couldn't qualify academically anywhere.
Good luck to Cam. His best option would have been to come back obviously, but I don't think he was welcome to come back.

Cam Lard could be following the David Irving career arc. Leave ISU on not exactly their own terms, go pro with good upside but off-the-field/court issues. Could be good pieces on a team if they stay off the weeeeeeeeed.
Or his family is poor and he hates school and it’s time to start making money to play. But hey, you do you bud.
I think he ultimately wont get drafted that high.

Don't think Cam will ever see an NBA court, but best of luck to him in making a living playing ball. Hope he can buckle down, works hard, and succeeds.
Or maybe he didn't want to sit one to play one.
He would have had to sit out and would have been a 1 year player somewhere.

But doesn't that fit what @clonedude said? It's not a popular opinion, but I can't imagine that Cam was a hot ticket right now.

At least his last game as a Cyclone was perhaps his best. Had a better chance if they kept feeding him.
Gonna need to be coachable to be successful long term and hopefully his time at ISU will help with that.

Wish him luck. Honestly if he wanted to I bet he could become a superstar in China. NBA seems like a stretch but there is plenty of money to be made elsewhere.
