Do any of you other people like to pick up apparel of teams that you necessarily follow/support? I like to pick up merchandise of mascots I find funny or interesting or cool looking. For example I just ordered a Upper Iowa University Peacocks shirt. I'd like a Drake University shirt of their throwback uniforms they just released.

Other shirts items I possess:
Simpson College (My last name)
Akron Rubber Ducks (Family from that area and like the name)
Rocky Ford Meloneers (Brother in Law used to coach there) FYI: Their gym is called the Melon Dome

What do you folks have?

I was looking for a casual hat to wear a while back that was a little nicer than just the average sports hat. I found a nice looking UTexas hat that I liked and didn't care much that it was a UT hat. I was about to buy it and my wife said "Why the f*&% would you wear a Texas hat?" #mywiferules

When I was in high school, my older brother got a job in Cali and sent me a UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs t-shirt for my birthday.

It was before Pulp Fiction came out. I'm pretty sure Tarantino saw me rocking it one day and decided to capitalize on my swag.

Buddy got his MBA from Upper Iowa. He has a t-shirt that says "**** Power".

I wear hockey jerseys at times, any team if it looks cool.

We bought Wichita State shirts when we lived there and they were really good at bball. I have only worn mine a handful of times but my wife still wears her hoodie occasionally. Always good to get some weird looks as everyone around here assumes it is a hawk shirt and then stares dumbfounded that another school has those colors.

She also used to have stuff from the other Big 12 schools form her time as a football manager (at least at that time the managers had school clothes set aside to trade with the opposing team) but I don't think we have any of that anymore.

I used to have some UNI stuff since my sister and most of my cousins went there including one that played football there.

Years ago at Christmas my then mother in law got all of the men each a different sweatshirt of some "national brand" school. Mine was a light blue UCLA sweatshirt. I think I said, "Uck La? Who the heck is Uck La?" I wore it as an everyday, work around the house type of thing never really out in public. I was a poor college student who needed any clothes I could find*. I just don't get why you would give your money to a program that doesn't need more money when it could go to Iowa State. I do understand the little programs that have a fun name or logo, though.

*About the same time my mildly hawkeye sister and brother in law got me a pair of yellow sweat pants with a giant IOWA down the leg. They had cameras out ready to photograph my reaction. I saw them, promptly turned them inside out and put them on saying, "Thanks, I could use another pair of sweat pants." I wore those things inside out for years. I think they thought they could get a fun reaction out of me and then he would get a new pair of sweatpants when I refused them. Again, poor college student.

My nephew went to the Air Force Academy so I have a shirt from there. My niece went to West Virginia Wesleyan so I have a couple of shirts from there. Also have a Virginia Tech shirt from long ago. Pretty sure it doesn't fit any more. My sister went there and my niece got her Masters there as well.

I did also once have an original Iowa State Teachers College sweatshirt that I inherited from my late FIL. It was from when he went to school there. I did wear that because it was pretty cool and history and all.

For the uninformed that was what UNI was called before 1961.

I sometimes tailgate with friends here in Lincoln so I wear a husker shirt to blend it. I call in my camouflage shirt. It was a gift. I used to just wear a random red shirt.
