Why don't they put these inter-conference games during the holiday break? Seems like it would be far less disruptive to the conference season.

When was the last time we won a game in this thing? I think we're due.

Coach Weber said the other day that he does not like the series because it breaks up the conference season against teams that you don't know to places you don't go. He'd much rather play it in December before league play. But, he said it was necessary to get more quality games guaranteed because it's just very hard to get quality OOC opponents. He also likes the Big East challenge for that reason. With the SEC thingy, it gets a minimum 20 quality games for each B12 team.

Because of the various TV contracts ESPN has for their holiday tournaments. TV is what pushed this to Jan.

No facts to back up my opinion, but I'm guessing ESPN would want the students in session to help 'sell' the challenge as well.

I've been to the last two SEC Challenge road games. Hopefully this goes better than those two games.

I've been horrible predicting these, so if anyone wants to make some easy money, bet the opposite of what you see below:

Iowa State at Mississippi
Alabama at Baylor
Florida at TCU
South Carolina @ Oklahoma State
Texas at Georgia
Kansas State at Texas A&M
West Virginia at Tennessee
Vanderbilt at Oklahoma
Kansas at Kentucky
Arkansas at Texas Tech

Tennessee should roll WVU, but their stupid style is so unpredictable. The only other one I feel good about is Tech, and they just lost 3 in a row.

This game makes me think of when we played Arkansas a few years back, who was at the time ranked in the top-20. They were totally unprepared for the run and gun of that Hoiberg team and we ran them out of the gym with something like a 17-point victory. I know nothing about this Ol' Miss squad, but would not be surprised to see a similar outcome
