Cyclones are currently at #14 on KenPom.

This makes sense to me based on the eye test. We look like a top #15 team....can beat anyone if we play well but can also stub our toe if we aren't careful.

It's crazy to think of where we might be now, had Prohm not had to deal with the injuries and suspensions. An eight- or nine-man rotation, with everyone sure of their roles, and nobody playing catch-up? Damn..............

That would be amazing, but I just feel really good about the position that this team has put itself in at this point of the year. You never know who may have missed out on playing time that is helping us in a critical way right now with the way it played out.

I assumed this would be a thread about what the team needs to do to make it to the second weekend.
That would have been titled "How to get to the Sweet Sixteen".

That comes with its own problems. Most coaches are going 8 deep max and 7 seems to be the sweet spot. Even Mad Fran has had to move on from the derpth.

This. Hopefully it will pay dividends come March

True, the team may be further ahead at this point in the season. But, if Wigg/Lard are able to regain their form fully, we will be further ahead at the end of the season than if they had played in every game due to THT, TH, and Conditt being able to make greater contributions.

Seems we have Lute Olsen's seven men down now.

Haliburton
Horton-Tucker
Jacobson
Lard
Shayok
Weiler-Babb
Wigginton

Once they really start to click together, which they are approaching fast, look out.

At the same time, we reaped some benefits with the players that got extra experience while other players were out for injuries\suspensions.

This team doesn't lose to Baylor or KSU if Lard hadn't gotten hurt. Lard was hungry yesterday and Wiggs started to feel his 3 point shooting again. It is going to be a fun run over the next couple of months!

Conditt will play a role too with Young out and Lard susceptible to foul trouble. He seems to be right on the cusp of great production and always brings energy. If he gets a little more physical on the boards and in the post, there isn’t much drop off from Young. If any at all.

Although Young’s redshirt hurts a lot, aWe have the roster imo. Expectations should be high.
