I think a lot of NBA scouts were surprised by him in Hawaii and that's why he's getting all this play. His numbers will fall with LW coming back, but hoping they co-exist in a beneficial way.
This. Every Draft/College Scout writer that was in attendance in Maui has done nothing but rave about him since.
Shayok, Wigginton, and Horton-Tucker are all ball-dominant guys who need a lot of possessions to "get theirs." That could be wonderful having so much offensive firepower ready to go like that. Or it could lead to a stagnate, Kobe-que offensive result without passing.
It is an odd balance for those three -- being on a good team attracts attention to them, but since we have three of their archetype around, they are going to have to swallow their pride for individual numbers and learn to share for the team to really hit its stride.
As Golden State showed, when you can have a superstar on the court 100% of the time (and not comparing any of our guys to Curry or Durant, but the effect is the same... you are deep enough to never let up), it puts incredible pressure on opposing defenses.
