Below are statistical comparisons of the teams comparing offenses/defenses in each category, along with national team rank in each category. The low number of pts Allowed/game needs to continue for ISU. Not surprisingly, ISU rushing offense vs WSU rush defense may be an advantage. If so, ISU can keep that pass offense off the field.

PTS SCORED/G PTS ALLOWED/G
W-38.3 pts/g ISU-22.5 pts/g
ISU-26.8 pts/g W-23.1pts/g

TOTAL OFFENSE: TOTAL DEFENSE:
W- 462 yds/g (#25) I-351 yds/g (#32)
ISU-359 yds/g (#104) W-345 yds/g (#27)

RUSH OFFENSE: RUSH DEFENSE:
W-82 yds/g (#129) I-122 yds/g (#18)
I-124 yds/g (#115) W-136 yds/g (#33)

PASS OFFENSE: PASS DEFENSE:
W-380 yds/g (#2) ISU-228 yds/g (#59)
ISU-235 yds/g (#64) W-208 yds/g (#46)
