I thought I heard Olde Main was being sold... but now it's building a rooftop patio?

Their beer is horrible. I couldn't even bring myself to get their $5 growlers when they used to offer that deal on Thursday's.

Not that long ago I'm not sure if it was the KMart building itself or Aldi's/Jethros but they wanted to build some big reception hall down that way too.
I just don't get the appeal.

I actually really like the beers from Kalona Brewing Company

I'm not terribly impressed with their cans, but I liked it the one time I visited the actual facility.

I've never been, but had their cans a few times. The first early cans had 'technical difficulties' like low carb, off flavors, etc. I had some several months later, improved, but nothing exciting.

But most breweries don't put their all-stars in cans, so I'd be willing to try something on site.

Only 4 of the’18 breweries made this list but I think it’s a great list. I would replace Clock House with Lion Bridge personally but haven’t been to Clock House in quite a while so maybe they’ve upped their game. Also considered Aluvial, Pivo, Jackson St and Barn Town.

Thanks for the link, but holy **** -- that site is unusable. Read through the top four before giving up.

I prefer Pulpit’s taproom. TG’s is just so big and impersonal.
I agree with the Pulpit preference. I think them and Pivo benefit from TG being a destination for a lot of travelers. But it's nice having all three options. TG checks all the boxes for a fun stop to visit when people come into town. But I prefer Pulpit Rock's beer and setting by a long ways.

As a local, I go to Pulpit and Pivo 3-4x for every TG visit. TG is a place I generally go when someone is visiting

I'm not entirely local but exact same scenario. If I'm with someone that likes beer, we got to Pulpit. If I'm with someone that is looking for an activity for the day, it's TG.
