Almost had a vehicle for you in that amount. Daughter almost traded. Thing about BC vehicles, may have a cosmetic blemish or two, but mechanical wise, they are extremely dependable. I don’t let my wife or kids have any potential break downs.

Now what I drive, that’s another story.

All I care about in a car is that it gets me from a to b.

Agreed to repairs. would of liked to go somewhere else but don't want to drive or have it towed to another place. Need a vehicle for work.

Will definitely look at something new but don't want to rush into buying a car.

If you live in Ames you could consider an E-bike to get you by for a few months until you can buy a different used car at your own pace. My BIL got an E-bike to ride to his practice when he had 3 kids driving at home. They didn't think they needed to get a third car, so he biked most days so the car would be available to the kids.

I am going to dealer for new tires for Das Audi tomorrow. It's 10 years old and only 42K miles on it and they will present me a laundry list of items that "need" attention. Will either be a radiator flush, brake system flush or "Hey, about your ten year old transmission fluid".

What time of day are you seeing her? At night or noon? If noon, should at least be 19 or so. If night, make small talk and ask if she goes to (whatever the local college). She will either then say HS or she doesn’t go there, which covers your bases.

It's always at lunch. Best guess, I'd say 22-24, which is still too young for me. She might think I'm that young too.

Well that was disappointing, went in for my regular blood donation (give double reds) the return went awry so they had to stop a little more than half way thru the full donation.
At least they got enough to help someone.

The brightside is I can try again in like 60 days.
