Aimee Mann's songs for Magnolia are, in my opinion, the greatest collection of original songs created for a movie ever. My second place is probably Simon & Garfunkel on the Graduate, that's how good I think her songs for Magnolia are. She was/is an incredible artist, the record labels had her bottled up and it was a massive burst of creativity released through that soundtrack opportunity.
I love her voice so much. Even on something as simple as a throwaway cover of "Come Sail Away" by Styx in the episode of Community when Troy leaves the study group. I wish they had the full single of that somewhere. She could probably turn a fortune cookie fortune into a hit song.

Earlier someone said Lebowski- lots of Coen Bros stuff fits this category. At first you're like "okay" and then 2nd or 3rd time you are on the floor.

Buffalo hunt scene in Dances with Wolves is the ultimate goosebumps scene in a movie. Half the time I just watch it and other times I try to imagine how the hell they filmed it.

Runner up maybe hitting the lights out in The Natural.
