What are movies you have always liked or loved yet still every time you visit it again you think it’s actually better than the last time you watch it and it’s aged incredibly well.

Mine I just started watching for the umpteenth time is Michael Clayton. Seriously might be a top ten movie ever for me. And the fact it came out the same year as No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood is crazy. Three all timers.

Couldn't agree more on Michael Clayton. It's just so well done from every perspective. It got all kind of accolades when it was released but somehow it's still underrated.

For me, it always comes back to Life Aquatic. I could watch that one 500 times and still probably find something new that I love about it. To me it's like looking at an incredible painting. You can appreciate it from afar, or you can get right up close and admire every single brush stroke, or anywhere in between. It's a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah somehow it’s viewed as a great movie and Swinton won supporting actress at the Oscars and it was up for a ton of other awards but again it was up against another crazy amazing film with No Country. I still find people that have never seen it and I tell them they have to watch it and every time they’re like how did I miss this movie it’s so good.

Life aquatic is also great! His movies are always a sight on the eyes.

I do not have a scientific or engineering mind. The scene where they pull in all the engineers to create the air filter making a square filter fit into a cylindrical hole is amazing. So impressed by people with that kind of mind.
I can't believe that movie is 30 years old now and that it came out only 25 years after the actual mission.

Also, I haven't watched it in a really long time, but I felt that way about Magnolia. I should revisit it and see if it still holds up for me.

Aimee Mann's songs for Magnolia are, in my opinion, the greatest collection of original songs created for a movie ever. My second place is probably Simon & Garfunkel on the Graduate, that's how good I think her songs for Magnolia are. She was/is an incredible artist, the record labels had her bottled up and it was a massive burst of creativity released through that soundtrack opportunity.

Dune 1&2. Every time I see them I like them more. Probably right up there with my favorite movies of all time. It's too bad they didn't get more recognition in awards, because they are a real achievment in film making IMO.

Those and his BladeRunner immaculate sequel are awesome beyond anything this sci-fi nerd thought we'd ever get. 2049 gets better on repeat viewings too.

For such a pure action movie, there are a lot of little details to discover in Fury Road. I watched once with subtitles on and caught some dialog I had missed. Kind of by accident I just had subs on and found I enjoyed it.
It's a really incredible movie. Especially considering how poorly Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy got along on set.
