Gilbert seems determined to get his turnovers. Now that driving into double teams has been eliminated, he is traveling, passing to no one, palming the ball. Morphing his weakness into unforced turnovers and lazy defense. Uncoachable .

Gilbert has won us a lot more games than he has lost us over the last year and a half. This is a lazy take.

Maybe I'm overly critical because my expectations are so high but I would probably feel better is we had at least one instance of this team putting it all together and playing elite. Instead we have a bunch of pretty good.

To get to the FF and CCG pretty good probably isn't going to cut it. I'm hopeful you're right and they will dial it in but chances are running out.
18 of our 21 wins are by double digits with 13 by 15 or more. Seems pretty dialed in to me. Last nights game was never in doubt, the same as many of our games this year. This team does seem to “play with their food” at times but most games are comfortable wins

I think both can be true. He's an awesome player and we aren't where we are without him. But his turnovers are often times are unforced and really the result of some serious sloppy play.

I would guess it's due to the decline in health of Gilbert.
I'm amazed more people aren't talking about this. The dude can't even full sprint down the court with out having to pull up. Idk what it is, but something is hindering him.

Honestly our bench looks to be super thin after Watson. I know it’s tough for those guys when they only play 2 MPG, but the ISU reserves looked to be way outmatched by Colorado's starters.

I have been wrong before about certain guys (like Matt Thomas). Maybe there is someone on this year's bench that will prove me wrong.
What? It was the last 2 minutes of a blowout….you think the bench guys are going to have any rhythm for that timeframe? Let’s be realistic here.

So you're saying the bottom 5 players on our roster are "super thin" compared to the rest of the team? Boy, that's pretty profound.

Actually, I'd be okay with playing Rock, Fish, Indrusitus, Kelderman, and Hawley against the #9-14 players on most other teams' benches.

What in the world are you talking about? Did you expect our 9-13 players to be better than the starters on a Big 12 team?

Honestly, this team could really use a few days off. That’s why I’m not going to be upset if they lose early in KC. Not that I’m expecting it…I wouldn’t be surprised if they win it. We will have by far the most fans there with KU’s swoon.

No. I didnt expect them to be better than Colorado's starters. But I also don't see any "diamonds in the rough" among that group as I've seen in other years. Paul Shirley didn't play much as a true freshman, but I saw signs when he did play that he would be a pretty good player.

I know those guys are a big part of the practice team and contribute to our culture. Just calling it like I see it. I would love for someone to prove me wrong.

Are you thinking those guys are the future of the program?

Do you know many teams that have last guys off the bench that are going to do well, especially cold against an opponent's pressing starters?

I would like you stop, take a breath, and think about what you are saying? Nojus is going to be a good one, just no chance to crack the rotation this year. Also, this ain’t 25 years ago. Players move around. Not many 2-4 year players sitting on the bench waiting to earn their time. Use that noggin of yours for just a minute.

I haven't heard about Gilbert being injured, but he looked like he may be yesterday by the way he was walking. If he is, that may explain recent lack of driving to the hoop.

He's been that way for about a month or two.
Been trying to get to the hoop plenty still.
