Hardee's had fried chicken for a while and it was great fried chicken.

I remember this. Hardee’s was having a real identity crisis there for a while.

Who remembers the Priazzo at Pizza Hut? Basically their attempt at Chicago style deep dish.

Also, for a quick minute in the mid-2000s Starbucks had an incredibly rich, absolutely delicious chocolate drink … I can’t remember the name, but it was like the best, most decadent hot chocolate you could imagine. I only had it once before they discontinued it, and I still think about it sometimes.

They definitely had an identity crisis. They also introduced an all you can eat buffet lunch at about the same time. They solved the identity crisis by making commercials with attractive women in bathing suits eating burgers.

Pizzaria Chips were great. Not sure why those ever went away. Also like Doo Dads. My favorite snack mix ever!

I recall Hardee's offering a pizza sandwich/wedgie thing in the early 90s...

Speaking of Hardee’s, they used to actually charbroil their burgers. Maybe they still do, but it’s different now. The flavor is nowhere close to how they were when they were in the little styrofoam burger containers.

Portillo's (up here in Chicagoland) burgers remind me of that flavor. Their burgers are pretty good.

Doo Dad Snack Mix

Throw a Super Nintendo in there and you have a legendary 90s Saturday night.
I was originally dropping by the thread to say Doo Dads too. Chex Mix just isn’t the same.

Does anyone remember nacho cheese flavored Tostitos? I preferred those to Doritos.

Taco flavored Doritos hit different back in the day also. Maybe they removed the trans fat from them or something but the modern recipe is bad.

There was an era of Taco Bell taco chips too that weren't all that bad.

My lasting memory of DooDads is the feeling of accomplishment when you'd find the one peanut in the box. I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I swear there were so few in the average box. Was there a perpetual war on, in DooDad-ville? And they needed to ration all of the peanuts so their fightn' men could stay well supplied? Maybe they were still recovering from the great peanut famine of 74? Regardless, finding those peanuts was like panning for gold.

Jack's spicy Italian sausage pizza. Discontinued fairly recently, but it was really good and the best Jack's variety by a mile. I emailed Nestle a few weeks ago and they confirmed that is was no longer offered.

In the mid 80's, Pizza hut had the Priazzo. Kind of a variation on deep dish as it had a 2nd super thin crust on top. I was 12 or 13 at them time and the Milano version was awesome.

I miss the OG Pizza Huts in general not just sit down. When they started mass producing crusts and breadsticks it lost a lot of the luster. Their pan pizza now is literally nothing like it used to be. Not even close.

I also miss Godfathers all over. Still a couple up here I hit up and still great.

Really miss all the Happy Joe’s locations too
OG Pizza Huts were the best- they really went down hill after they switched to Frozen. Years ago the Pizza Hut manager back home went out and started his own pizza place with the original dough recipes. It was probably the best pizza i've had in years, until he retired and couldn't find anyone to keep the business going. :(

It’s was good. But the Jacks hamburger was the best.
