The big 12 isn't really "down".

The SEC has been up (by a lot!), but if you look at computer ratings going into conference play the big 12 rated out pretty much the same as last year.

I'm fine using metrics but game results have to matter and the B12 lost a ton of non con games and especially to the SEC. The SEC is better and will get the bump based on reputation the B12 got the last couple years.

If I'm TJ, I trust that my guys that I've recruited and coach every day to get a rebound, tip and or defend for what would be .5 seconds on the clock. Also, have on the floor: Jackson, Chatfield, Jefferson, Watson on the line
And that's IF the make the 1st free throw and get a perfect bounce of the rim

Maybe we go up 15-20 pts 2nd half on KSU and work in Indrusaitis in the lineup? Some people here said Watson was going to hurt the lineup by getting any minutes. That clearly has not been the case. Indrusaitis has good size and good slashing ability to help this team.

Vs the perfect shot from 50 feet.

In other words you can question any decision but it doesn't make it the wrong one.

I don’t have a problem with not fouling there. You let them take a 3/4 court shot and don’t risk fouling in the act and turning it into 3 fee throws.

The only way you do it is immediately on the catch. Which we maybe could have done but we were not playing that tight.

I kind of wonder if you’re better off putting our guys in the line and missing that last free throw on purpose. Seems like way harder to get a shot up.

Also wondering if TJ should have called a time out.

Arizona knows what they’re running there and I don’t know if the timeout benefits them more than it does our defense.

I would disagree with this, just because the chance of a foul there wouldn’t be worth it. In that scenario you definitely cannot foul.

The only way something like that would work IMO is if JJ makes that first FT. Then you obviously try to make the second but put guys on the line just in case he misses to muck it up a little.

Also, never call a TO there. Make the opponents scramble. Texas Tech coach made that mistake against ISU.

We dropped to 5th in Ken Pom and will soon be passed by tennesse as well as they play a lot better schedule. Just really hard to move up given the way the schedule is. Number 1 seed is going to be pretty tough I think.
