Sure, we missed threes and layups. Sure, the refs let both teams play physical. However, them pushing off, getting the basket AND the free throws MULTIPLE TIMES are really momentum changing plays. Basically going from a turnover to a 3-point swing.

Again, multiple times.

We did not get any of those type of calls on our side.

It seems every time we play someone and they have some special ******** going on, they help that team win. They clearly wanted that WV win with Jerry West's family in the building, the same way they wanted the KSU football team to win against us that one time they thought it was Bill Snyder's last game.
Clearly. They changed the rim dimensions too to ensure we shot 1-17 from 3.

Maybe this was the loss we needed to wake up. It seemed like the past 3-4 games we were not great but pulled it off (Kansas game we were not great and had horrible turnovers). Let’s see how we bounce back after this god awful performance.
I agree. I think they scraped by with TTU when they probably shouldn’t have. I think winning games like that can make the need for adjustments look less urgent than they are

Hey man, I thought the refs missed some calls, for sure. Happens every game. Same with the Kansas game, same with the Texas Tech game.

Every game and even separate threads complain and blame losses or close wins on the refs. Doesn’t matter if it’s 30 pages, 50 pages, 70 pages, every single thread had of it is complaining about the refs. It’s so annoying when you go the thread to actually talk about the game and what os happening and it’s ref talk.

It’s also the same posters. Probably never played a minute of competitive sports in their life.

I made a simple post about us not playing well today and that it wasn’t the refs fault and now I have more quote notifications telling me I’m dumb than I have ever seen before.
We did not play well today, refs did not ref well today, once again both can be true. Our bad play helped lead to a loss, as did poor officiating help lead to our poor play at times. See both can be true and both can effect the outcome of a fame. If we had lost by 20 and never been in the game well then observations can be different. When it is a 1 possession game with 3 to play and then every call in the end of game run goes against you people will ask questions. Pretty simple really.

Players can’t control officiating

Players CAN control shooting better than 1-17 and not having the ball stolen 14 times.

But if you want to focus on something outside the control of the players, more power to you

I'm not sure players can control shooting that much. Some days it just doesn't happen. Like, it's not a choice and perimeter D can cause issues.

They can control when to dribble into 3 defenders and when not to though.

And yeah, they can address that in practice. Doesn't ******* excuse **** officiating. Physical play and swallowing the whistle can have a huge impact on how an offense operates

Maybe if the officials weren't so ******, we could have won. Maybe if we hit a few more threes we would have won. Maybe if both were true, we would have won by a comfortable margin.

Has anyone else noticed that Gilbert has really taken a step back and it’s been CuJo that we need to take over or it’s too close? Gilbert needs to really step up and take the pressure off of CuJo. CuJo will get more open looks if Gilbert starts hitting shots.

Agreed. Thought the and 1 on Jefferson was a bad call and it got a little loose late but that’s not why we lost.

**** you.

I’m not focusing on anything but the ridiculous idea that the refs didn’t impact the game simply because we shot poorly.
