I might as well put two score predictions in. I get tired of only being wrong once.

Halftime:
ISU - 37
CU- 35

Final
ISU - 81
CU - 73

I'm also predicting the first five minutes to be ugly

Lot of heartbreaks in Boulder over the years. That was then this is now. Vegas Insider sez Cyclones: -10.5 / 146.5 I think we'll cover.

I have 1000+ channels but not the one airing this game! :(

I think you might be thinking of Dan Dakich? Dan Dickau used to play at Gonzaga; really good player who helped put them on the map.

If the weather holds up I plan to drive down from Steamboat Springs to Denver/Boulder for the game tonight. It will be the first time I've seen the Clones play in person since the 2016 NCAA tournament in Denver.
I hope you can make the game, and watch a victory!

The Steamboat Springs area seems fantastic. I'd like to go there sometime soon. We spent about 5 days at a rental in Pine, CO in '21. Loved it! Right on the North Fork South Platte River.

ISU should win, and I expect them to. However, Colo has been a house of horrors... so I'm sure this won't feel comfortable.

College basketball schedules are so soft around the holidays that I didn't realize Iowa State was playing a conference game tonight. Not sure what to make of the Buffs. They beat UConn when UConn was struggling but got crushed against Michigan State and us.

It's always tough to win in Altitude but this is a game you'd think the Cyclones should win.
In any event, it's nice to have a competitive game to watch for the first time in what seems like forever when the Iowa game was.

Oh wow. Even with their win over UCONN, this wouldn't even be a Q1 win for us on the road because they are currently #76. That's not good. We should win this.

On the road an opposing team with a NET ranking between 1 and 75 is considered Q1. If they beat us they would absolutely move up over 75 and it would make it a Q1 loss.

Preferably we just win and enjoy the Q2 victory.

Inject Homan vs. the Harrison brothers in my veins!

https://cyclones.com/news/2002/2/13/848645

The trouble started when Iowa State coach Larry Eustachy called a timeout with 18:06 left and his team leading 51-28. Colorado's D.J. Harrison started toward the Iowa State huddle near midcourt and was confronted by Homan.

As they shoved each other, David Harrison, D.J.'s brother, joined the fray and began arguing with Iowa State's Ricky Morgan. Coaches and officials jumped in to separate the teams and no punches were throw.

The Harrisons each received a technical and Sullivan made all four free throws. Homan, who had not been in the game at the time, was ejected for leaving the bench.

D.J. Harrison threw his wrist band toward the crowd as the officials tried to restore order. He was booed loudly whenever he touched the ball after that and fouled out with 8:38 to play, leaving to a long, derisive ovation.
