Starting starters could also lead to injury.

Yesterday's game was never really in doubt from knowing ISU would win even if ugly, but I'm not sure when garbage time starts when the opponent is scoring like yesterday instead of ISU blowing it out to a 40 point lead like sone are acting like happened.

Then if the reserves get out there at 5 minutes when it was about 22 points, and give up a few buckets to cut it to like 8 with two minutes left, do you throw the starters back out there to possibly get injured?
We were up 30 with 2 minutes and the starters were still out.

That's debateable based on your political posts, but no official reference shall be made herein.
Since I haven’t made a post there in 4-5 years, I can see my honesty sticks with you. Appreciate Rock but unless the bottom falls out I will be floored if he ever sees meaningful minutes here.

We never got it to 30. The lead hovered in the mid-20's for a while. I think there was a point where it would've made sense to put them in when we were up 24 with just under two left and then their starting guard and leading scorer hit a three to cut it to 21. At that point, you can throw in your starters and hope they don't turn it over a couple of times or you just leave the guys in for a couple of more possessions which is what we did.

They were left in because of the stupid metrics. That simple.

So given that I certainly can see why some would have flashbacks to some awful games.

We have a team that can win there, but no conference road game is easy.
I haven’t had the opportunity to watch us play in person in quite some time. Looking forward to seeing us live in Boulder!

10-1
Ranked #3 in the country
Only loss is a last-second tip in against who many feel is the best team in the country (we were up by 18 btw)
Beat #5 Marquette at home rather easily
Beat Iowa in Iowa City when Iowa brought their absolute A game
Blew out all the buy games as we should

Forgive me for not caring about minute distribution against Morgan State in a 27 point win. We had energy yesterday but were sloppy. Regulars stayed in the game to keep the end score closer to what the metrics predicted. This is how it's done in 2024 whether you like it or not.

No, you integrate guys like Nojus and Watson into the lineup with the starters and give them extended minutes.

What happens when someone gets hurt and you try throwing a guy in there with Jones, Gilbert, and Lipsey who is used to playing with Kelderman?

Why must every thread end up in a pissing match?

That was a rhetorical question by the way. It just gets boring, although I have to admit I've been guilty at times.

Those rewards might matter more for us than other programs though. If we want to keep bench depth we gotta do the little things.

If a guy is inclined to transfer I can't imagine the 3 minutes he gets against some scrub team will change his mind. It comes down to whether you believe the coaching staff has a place for you in the future and a vision for your development. And for something like that, we have the absolute right people in charge. I have no doubt TJ is fully transparent (the good and the bad) with these guys about what he sees for them in the future.

Do yiu not think the staff doesn't prep for this? How do we know they're not waiting for conference play to implement it without any film on that kind of lineup?

Gamecast doesn't show a 30 point lead at any time yesterday and it was around 20 at the 2:00 mark. Got to 26 a couple of times but Morgsn State kept cutting into it a bit.

At what point would you have put the reserves in?

2 minute mark. And y'all are like 5 year olds. It was 27 not 30. Almost went blind rolling my eyes.
