No it's not, it's 2, 3 games tops in the buy-in games against the MEAC and SWAC that I've been complaining.

You honestly think anybody will care that Fish isn't getting PT against Big 12 competition?

Sorry, but I don't think it's too much to ask to see what we have in guys like JT Rock for 5 or 6 minutes a couple times per season.
Our 10-13 guys on the roster have played in 5 games this year with Cade playing in 6. If you want to blame anyone, you can probably point at our 8 core guys for sleep walking through most of the game and only holding a 17 point deficit with about 7 minutes left. Their starters were still in playing hard and our lead was not large enough in the closing minutes to justify getting our deep bench guys in there.

Morgan State is not a good team and if they go on a mini run and we only win in the mid-teens, it's just not a great look. We know what we have in those guys too. Them playing 3-4 possessions in this game doesn't change that.

Still don't get why our bench is not getting any playing time. We are going to need them in Big 12 play, or our guys will run out of gas by March, like Kansas last year.
They had not played in a week and the most mins was 32 by any one player

Baring injury, it seems like TJ will role out a 8 man rotation where the 3 guys off bench play significant mins so don't really need 9-10

Lol, we have one of the best teams and one of the best coaches in the country. You're sitting here, whining that the guys that aren't good enough to crack the current rotation should be getting minutes just because we are up by 25? We played a very bad team and gave up 72 points yesterday. Maybe the focus should be on tightening up the defense instead of playing guys like Rock, Watson, Fish, etc. with 4 minutes left in the game.
I'm not gonna die on this hill but leaving starters in during garbage time is really only going to help conditioning and may add to injuries.

False, in case you haven't noticed we now play 20 conference games instead of 18. It's a grind and the fresher the main 6 guys stay until March the better.

I dont understand the logic of they need minutes together to work out things against Morgan St.
I don't completely disagree with you, but this team has 8 main guys, not 6. The only reason I feel it would've been good to give the others a couple minutes was as a reward. It wasn't going to impact anybody's ability to be fresh later this season.

Those rewards might matter more for us than other programs though. If we want to keep bench depth we gotta do the little things.

Rock isn’t good. There’s your answer.

Tamin looked fantastic yesterday, hope that's the version we see the rest of the year!
Yes, Lipsey is trending up at the right time. He has had 3 good games in a row.

I spoke briefly with his dad after the Iowa game, and he said that Tamin was getting close to 100 percent and would probably be totally healthy by conference play.

Starting starters could also lead to injury.

Yesterday's game was never really in doubt from knowing ISU would win even if ugly, but I'm not sure when garbage time starts when the opponent is scoring like yesterday instead of ISU blowing it out to a 40 point lead like sone are acting like happened.

Then if the reserves get out there at 5 minutes when it was about 22 points, and give up a few buckets to cut it to like 8 with two minutes left, do you throw the starters back out there to possibly get injured?

Yeah it's always a difficult decision when you're not exactly killing a team and the opposition keeps their starters in.
