I'm hoping that happens in a week vs. Marquette.

I'm not sure if ISU's current issues can be fixed in 15 hours since a lot of it looks like a timing and communication issue that needs reps and film study.
At least we have the Hilton factor against Marquette. That will be an elite atmosphere that night. Probably the game of the year for the students.

I guess I don’t know about other teams that are at elevation. We have never played at Utah. We have only ever lost to BYU once last year. I guess my thought is maybe it’s partly just at Colorado that we struggle. You also have to factor large portions of time we just were not good on the road. So the only real opportunity you have to look is when we had Floyd and Eustachy. I just think people are making to much out of it.
Fair.

We did suck on the road for decades.

We’re only 20th in TO%!! After being #1 by a long shot for the last two years.

And our Offensive Rating is higher than our Defensive Rating!

What is going on here?!?
Lots of free throws early in the year. Refs calling fouls at a higher rate which inflates point totals.

Also teams have fresher legs early on higher percentage of jumpers going in. 3 point shooting is amazing in games I have watched.

Lots of good defensive teams struggling early on.

ISU has a quick turn around time (about 12 hours) between games. Colo had a bit longer to rest. Hope the boys can bring it 1 more time, then relax for a few days.
This has been a really good test for the team to see where they are and what they need to work on.
Well, being really frank - Lipsey should have plenty of legs. I hope he is just in a funk and just needs something to snap him out of it. I have all the confidence in the world in him but him bringing a C- game this week instead of an A or B is most of the difference we are seeing.

Missing his steals, being the first on the floor, wise shot selection and ball handing time so Jones/KG can drill shots.

Chris keeps saying he doesn't think he's hurt, but I disagree. He doesn't look right.

The way he plays, I just assume he's always dealing with something. Kind of like the Beau Freyler of our basketball team.
It's hard to tell. He was playing pretty well to start the Auburn game and then it definitely seemed like something changed. JP4CY is in Maui and he said it looked like Lipsey hurt his ankle based on how he was reacting on the sideline. Yesterday's game is hard to tell because of foul trouble. Could be injury or maybe he's just having a bad stretch of basketball. Hopefully he looks great today.

Seems like he’s been dealing with foul trouble in part due to refs not letting us play as physical as we are used to.

Well, heck. Just noticed the game is 1:30 pm. Was just getting ready to go workout. Now mulling this over. I mean we do play Colorado a hundred times this season so may skip this one considering tomorrow is T-day and gym is closed at noon and will be crazy busy that morning.

I'm guessing your isu history doesn't go back very far. There were 40 years of playing at altitude before tj got here.

That isn't creative that's a long history of isu teams struggling with going to Boulder. Didn't matter who the coach was.

I hope you are right. Maybe conditioning will be the difference, but you can't train for altitude in iowa.
It's definitely an advantage for teams like the Buffaloes, Nuggets, and the Broncos to play at altitude. You probably don't realize this until you play in it.

2-1 in this tourney is pretty darn good.

That being said, if we leave with a win over Dayton and Colorado we haven’t done much for our March resume.
