If we sub late, though … and we must be … that gives the defense the opportunity to slow-walk their substitution and runout the play clock.

Get our offensive subs out there with 15 seconds left, and you won’t have a problem (most likely - the officials aren’t going to give the defense forever)

Correct. It is 100% on us. Everyone knows the rule. Only we get exposed on it repeatedly because of mental/substitution/timing mistakes. It is literally 100% preventable.

Nice! I like that pitch to the RBs so much better than the hand off. The RB gets the ball quicker, the lineman don’t have to hold their blocks as long, and the RBs have more flexibility as to where to go.

I don't HATE the play call. Makes more sense to run it to the field but I like moving the pocket. That part I like.

But good god. That throw was awful.

Rocco's done some great things in his time at Iowa State. But my word, I can't remember another college QB having so many pick 6's in two years. Like, some of its just plain dumb luck but that's what, 3 this year? Well, 2 but counting the second one against UCF since it was for all intents a pick 6.

That's literally the one place you can't put that ball. Hopefully he and the team can bounce back, I was starting to think we looked OK and then, well, moving on. Hopefully we can get a drive and draw even or score another TD

Believe it or not that’s a tough throw. I hated it. Gotta be Pinpoint accurate and can’t rifle it. Most QBs can rifle it with accuracy. But this one needs a little touch.
