Their schedule this year was pretty manageable but I will cut Nebby fans some slack because the B1G has not been kind to them as far as schedules go since they joined the league. Compare the cross over games Nebby gets annually with WI, MN, and IA and they are in a hole before the season even starts.
This is what they demanded though when they came in. They wanted Ohio State and Penn State; they begged for Wisconsin on Black Friday. Now they get them.

Actually, this year was supposed to be easy for the Huskers. They were supposed to start out 7-0. But, it turned out that the Huskers are not as good as they were projected to be. Plus Illinois and Indiana turned out much better than projected. Then, the later games like UCLA and USC, which pre-season were thought to be tougher, actually those two schools are way down, and yet they still beat the Huskers. There is a lot of hurt and anger here in Omaha.

Yep their schedule was very favorable.

My guess is they are begging the conference for an extra 6-day.

It made a lot more sense to have it this week over last week. With CCG implications on the line I don’t know why the networks would ever not leave one for the last week.

This never gets enough pub. This is SOOO freaking funny that they keep getting bent over like this. Like they are the little b*tch that they are and no one really talks about this. And then they go and get WORKED by the big dogs.
But that is what Nebraska wanted when they left the B12, playing more high profile games against better teams. Much like OU in the SEC, neither program is built to play that many good teams year after year and not have it affect your win/lose record.
Look how much easier Indiana schedule got when they get to miss Penn St., and Oregon this season, throw in Michigan being a shell of what it was makes for a very easy schedule. First ranked and only ranked team they will play will be Saturday when they meet Ohio State.
For years ISU and KU had their best records when we cycled off UT and OU and missed them for two years.

I don't think that was really why Nebraska left.

They were pissed about getting buried by Texas and wanted the Big 10 $. I don't recall Nebraska fans ******** about poor home schedules on their way out the door the way Texas and OU fans have. If anything, missing the Big 8 teams seems to be the one downside they'll actually admit.
