Did Trent say that ISU is the 5th biggest fanbase in Sioux City or 5th most important game for Hawk fans in Sioux City?

While I think he's wrong there, there's a big difference there, and not really the justification for five pages of people complaining about it here.

If you guys want more ISU on the radio, call. Whenever phone lines open up on KXNO, the ratio of Hawk fans to Clone fans is much higher than actually exists in our viewing area. They call in and tweet while we do much less.

They take very few callers. I’d rather see more ISU guests, although I don’t think that’s M&C’s fault.

The folks who call into these shows are idiots 90% of the time, I get second-hand embarrassment listening to some of them in the afternoon, I actually prefer M&C's structure of not putting many callers on the air.
There just hasn’t been the next generation of Cyclone Jerry or Tommy in Des Moines to be the radio shows dedicated callers.

I don't listen to shows with callers. Full stop.

Either way it's a pretty ridiculous statement.

I don't expect to ever know (and no one has any obligation to share) but I am so curious what the Iowa Everywhere ownership/compensation structure looks like. Clearly CW has come up with something that is better than the default goliath of KXNO to many people.

It will definitely work during football season. Any local show is welcomed when every other option is national "who GAF about the state of Iowa?" content.

Knew this would be coming. Murph & Andy doing a podcast on Iowa Everywhere.

Exactly. Good for them (i'm sure the flexibility, freedom, etc) is welcomed.

And Kudos to CW and IowaEverywhere......took the dive into "new media" and seems to be dominating (even the fact KXNO went to "all Iowa" or whatever shows they are trying to be like CW.

I am curious what a place like KXNO generally would pay someone for a show vs what IowaEverywhere pays? Clearly more to it than just money (freedoms, flexibility, etc)...but seems like CW has figured out a formula that is working.

One critique I have of the central Iowa media is there definitely seems to be an "in group" that seems to be both personal/professional and the same people are rehashed (Downs, Siepker, etc).

?? outside of two guys named chris, they don't generate much viewership, from what I can tell.

i listen to two guys only. the rest of those shows are so boring.
