Testifying
Sounds like the wrong National Anthem was played for South Sudan MBB. I think it got fixed.

I had a high school pe teacher who was obsessed with team handball so I actually played probably 50 games.

It’s incredibly fun. I played soccer at somewhat high level and pickup basketball. As just something fun to play it’s very similar to those. I think it would have been even more fun if we played with just athletes and not a random pe class forced to play.
I also played a lot of handball in PE class and it was a lot of fun.

Synchronized surfing, I watch them in person. Synchronized skateboarding.

All skiing, all snowboarding, all equestrian, over half of gymnastic events.

That’s just thinking about it for five seconds. It might be a majority of individual sports.
Then petition for them to be included. I'm just saying there's no reason to knock sports that have been included for not being "worthy". If you don't want to watch them, don't.
Personally, I've never thought two people punching and trying to hurt each other was very sporting, but there are a whole lot of people out there that do think boxing is a sport. :D

I’m neutral on it…but part of the Olympics is sports are constantly cut and added. It was ridiculous when wrestling was nearly dropped.

I’d by lying if I said my immediate thought wasn’t why synchronized diving is different than synching other individual sports.

Banning countries from the Olympics because of military aggression goes back to 1920. Russia getting banned because they invaded Ukraine isn’t new. If you want to participate in an international celebration of athletics and unity, try to not invade and conquer a neighbor, just sayin’.

Almost kind of surprised that list was that short but Europe has a couple more than I realized. Didn’t know Belarus got the boot this year. What’d the Germans do to get banned that many years?

I kind of get what you're saying, but in diving there is 0% variance between the two divers in terms of everything leading up to them grabbing air. It's two divers and two diving boards, which I'd assume have been carefully calibrated to provide the same amount of spring. If you tried surfing or skiing or snowboarding you could never guarantee 0% variance in the surface/snow/section of halfpipe/wave/etc., there could always be a bump or a dip or a divot or a difference in the wave affecting one of the athletes differently than the other, so you couldn't really judge them on synch. They could definitely do it in gymnastics though.
