So far this summer, it's mostly been at 71. But I'll turn it up or down based on how I feel. Life's too short to be hot or cold.

70 max at our house, usually 68, unless it gets stupid hot and the AC has an issue keeping up. I live with a wife and two daughters who complain about it being too cold. So, I have to remind them that they chose to get chinchillas and if the temperature gets much above 70 it can actually be life threatening to them. (Threatening to the Chinchillas not necessarily the women, although, if it gets much above 72, I do get quite irritable.)

Ours is set to 74 when we're home during the day, 72 at night, and 78 when nobody is home.

That said, the house/insulation/thermostat/windows can make a big difference. At our old house anything above 70 felt hot to me, but 74 at our current house is very comfortable.

We're really similar to this method too.

74, I used to bump it up to 76 when we got a long hot spell but anymore I just leave it at 74.

Day 76
Night 74

2023- Took a 9 Day Vacation in August-
Forcast for Iowa was low 80s while we were gone.
"I'll beat the system", so I turned the A/C to OFF.

Day9s forcast wasn't too accurate, and Iowa had one of those 99^ Days

We get home, exhausted from Vacation, and the A/C less house was currently 88 Degrees.......

When everyone thing in the House is at 88. ( Think walls, furniture, floors, etc. The sheer volume of material holding that much heat...........ugh.

Couldn't open the Windows, as it was warmer outside.

A/C Ran for 7 hours straight to throughly cool the House.
