Kansas State fans are madder than I have ever seen

I remember one of my first pick-up games in Beyer, a guy on the other team got the ball and came flying down the court. I was back on D, and set up for a charge. He planted his knee in my chest, dunked on me, and landed straddling me writhing on the floor with wind knocked out of me. He looked down, smiled and said, "Ain't no charges in pick-up, white boy!"...It was Ronnie Harris, Harrison Barnes biological father.

As a student I sat right behind the opposing bench a number of times in the old Armory. We were loud and obnoxious but never obscene IRRC. Was sort of funny seeing the old folks who now own those seats acting like 18 year me. Made, me chuckle but also reminded me how mad student me was when we lost those seats in the move to Hilton. And we've now moved the end seats back which sucks for the students.
I know 4 different folks that sit in rows 3 and 5 (Section 110) right behind the KSU bench last night. They did not see anything thrown or hear anything other than normal B12 heckling. A couple of them commented that they thought the whole thing was staged by KSU to try to disrupt the game. They said the whole KSU bench and assistants were wired up and crazy the entire game. Couple that with the reffing clinic that was going on and it was just too much. JTang just got too far out over his skis.

Way up there
I would really like to know the truth.
  1. If racial slurs were involved, then that's trash behavior and the fans should be banned from future games. But why not just say that's what happened? At least let the overwhelming majority of Cyclone Nation shame them into better behavior or getting lost.
  2. If objects were thrown at the KSU bench, that's also trash behavior and the fans should be banned or somehow disciplined. But why not just say that's what happened?
  3. If ISU fans were being "mean," well, you might want to toughen up buttercup. That's life on the road in sports. And I know why you wouldn't say that's what happened -- you'd get laughed at.
  4. If KSU's staff thought ISU managers were trying to spy on their huddle, then that's just ridiculous. And I know why you wouldn't say this is what happened, too. You'd become the new primary laughing stock of the sports landscape, replacing Iowa football's offense.
Keeping the reason behind your outrage quiet kind of discredits you.
But it allowed his fanbase to run wild with speculation. They've jumped to a ton of conclusions and have demonized our fanbase and coach. It's totally taken the focus off of him and his T essentially ending any chance his team had. Playing the victim to deflect, it feels really KU-ish. I don't know how anyone can still come on here and says he a good guy or that they like him. He's a total scumbag.

That weird fanbase is mad that Otz didn’t take a microphone and address our crowd. They are all acting cultish over Tang.

Angrier than we were in football at Manhattan in 2017, when the refs picked up three flags, one the flagrant PI on a KK pass to Lazard? It's all there on video for everyone to see. Tang? We don't have a clue, really, what he was upset about. Entirely different situations.

Wildcats, what comes around whatever. . . .

Boy, they are really buying into the spying crap on the K-State 247 board. Of course Tang will never file a formal complaint or admit this to the public because he knows it's a bunch of BS. But he's got no problem letting their fans run wild with speculation that there were racial slurs and stuff being thrown at them. Then they let it known through back channels what REALLY happened so their premium fans can get all worked up over what is currently completely baseless accusations.

The guy running the 247 site is all about it though. He's got screen shots and circles drawn where he's pretty sure the perpetrators are sitting. What a ******* clown show it is over there.

Nah this way below KU's threshold for behavior they're too good for. KU are obnoxious but they're fairly informed fans. Their stuff is more calculated and less embarrassing.

They must have never tried to get a cell signal in Hilton before.

I bet a very large amount of ISU and KSU fans who aren't farmers have a connection to farming. That's the point.
What is a large amount: 25%, 51%, 75%, iyo? Connection to Ag would hold more truth than a connection to farming, imo.

Outside of Twitter, they're exactly like ISU fans. I've been to several games in Manhattan. They're Midwestern farmers.

I don't know how their online presence got to be the way it is, but my real life interactions with KSU fans are just wildly different than how they act online.

This right here. I have a lot of family on the K-State side and they’re nothing like the online “EMAW” crowd. They’re a passionate bunch and normally very complimentary of ISU, but I haven’t heard one thing about the Tang/TJ spat from last night.

I never thought a fanbase could be broken this bad by a regular season conference road loss
