so 1 bad shot a game, got it. rampant problem for a freshman.

Are you kidding me with this nonsense? It's not just today, C Jones has done nothing but shoot bad shots, force shots, and shoot poorly to start the year. Does it mean it will continue? I hope not, but poor shot selection isn't the most encouraging sign.

His performance over these first 3 games isn't even debatable. If you think it is I don't know what you are watching.

Sloppy as it’s been, if the 3pt % was even close this is probably another 50ish point game.

And a lot of those attempted 3s weren't bad shots. We aren't shooting well as a team.

Thinking of starting a new game mini-feature on the game threads.

Here is the 'Wow, He Sucks' stat line of the game for BRE brought to you by The ZRF Basketball Think Tank.

3-5 Shooting
2-3 FTs
8 Pts
4 Rebounds
2 Steals
1 Block
Guessing 25 minutes

You aren't very smart, are you?

I said this is probably the most impressive game of BRE's career. Great footwork, great decision making, an all around great game.

Contrary to opinion around here I give credit where credit is due. Great game that wasn't based on luck.

The last 3 by CJones? Now THAT was a good shot (open, right distance, and in rhythm).

Okay, for those of you who subscribe to ESPN+, it's time to switch over to the women's game at Drake. :)

So are King and Ward the new sheriffs in town?

Ward is a ******* force if he can stay out of foul trouble.

But..much like C Jones....he needs to know his limits and have some **** selection. He forced 3 or so shots in the lane that not only were terrible decisions, but didn't have a chance at going in. He needs to stick to dunks and tip ins. It's okay if that's all he can do (offensively) as it's (still) extremely valuable.

Probably

Hey, did you see the pathetic stat line for that 18 year old freshman in his 3rd game -

0-3 Shooting
2-2 FT
5 Rebounds
1 Assist
2 Steals
1 Block

Absolutely pathetic.

What is your problem? While I said it would be "nice" to see his offensive game to be more advanced, he's a (raw) frosh and I'm not worried. The most disappointing part for him has been his minutes; I think TJ should have given him (at least) 5 more minutes the last 2 games. Hes going going to smooth out those edged with playing time.

That drive and dish he had late in the ga.e was the best play of his young career. Good decision, explosive, and with an excellent dish. I haven't even complained about Omaha.
