That leads to an entire different discussion - why does the AD even need ticketmaster? ISU owns the venue and the activities so why can't they just print their own tickets and sell them themselves?
It sure would be nice to get rid of Ticket Master or at least find a competitor for them. They seem to have a monopoly.

Why do school districts outsource bussing to Durham or first school? Why did Ames CSD decide to outsource the lunchroom almost 15yrs years ago. Why did council bluffs start to outsource substitutes to "teachers on call"?

Sometimes it is simply easier to pay for someone else to do it that specializes in it and has systems in place

Paciolan and All-In-One tickets are where it's at.

You add the season ticket to your wallet once, it automatically updates to the next event each week/event. Runs on QR codes so that you don't have the tap issues at the kiosk. It's an amazing system. The problem is Ticketmaster's 40 year head start.

I’m sure with some of the roads leading into the stadium being closed so someone can attend the game won’t cause any issues, right?

It’s crazy to me that there are manifestos about JP ruining tailgating with tens of positive reactions.

Before the UNI game he tried to warn people to be there early.

After the game he publicly apologized for frustrations with the technology.

Now he suggests people get in line twenty minutes earlier for the Iowa game.

Apparently JP is a prude who hates alcohol, hates fun, wants tailgating to die, and wants to squeeze every penny out of every fan?

Time will tell how strictly they stick to this policy long term. I do know for a fact that certain donors are getting paper tickets for the rest of the year to be used at any gate.
I have no idea why you couldn't allow official embossed/watermarked tickets for entry but not printed barcodes. Just charge people a $10 'convenience' fee for requesting printed season tickets. (I get Ticketmaster is likely the sticking point)

They already had something in place (I assume paper tickets) for ticket holders who don't have a smart phone. Sure, they say no paper tickets on the surface, but they're still an option if you really want to go through that hassle (not saying any high level donors would need to go thru any hassle to get them).
