I'm not suggesting a conspiracy. It's just the typical favoritism for big names in a college town. No different than Nebraska in the 90's. I guess at least Lawrence Philips didn't kill anyone though.

It's being handled the same. Someone died. Don't turn this into some Hawkeye favoritism conspiracy. Seriously.

A bicyclist was struck and killed in Bondurant earlier this month. The driver of the vehicle was never published, must be another McCaffrey cover-up!

Was the bicyclists in the wrong? Not minimizing the death, just curious whos fault it was.

A $1000 fine and up to 180 days in jail. Being a minor I would bet the jail doesn't happen, so effectively it costs $1000 to be negligent and kill someone.

Criminally, that’s not uncommon. Where this is a big deal is with a civil case. The family can now have evidence of wrongdoing to file a wrongful death suit against the McCaffrey family. That’s really what this was all about.

So if I read the article correctly, Jack was just issued the citation very recently, like last couple days? If true, why did it take so long for him to be cited?

I'm not trying to make Jack a victim, I'm just trying to be human here....he's gonna need some counseling.

I think we all knew it was him once he announced he won't be going to Iowa. It would be tough to see that intersection every day.
