Sign me up for a downgrade in defense to get a lot better offensive production!!

2022/23 Duke is around 50th in offense and around 20th in defense

Versus

2022/23 Iowa State is > 100 on offense and top around 5th in defense
I’d take a top 20 defense with a < 50 offense.

Most teams that will end up in the final 4 will be too 20 in both

Not quite following the first few posts regarding scholarships. Based on CFs scholarship chart, I think we have 5 open schollies. They have 4 openings but Tamin is listed twice. Those 5 scholarships do not include the potential for Jones and/or Ward to come back
Tre King
Should have kept Blake Hinson. Wonder what the issue was. He looks very good against Xavier today.
He was welcome to stay. When he was given his told what his role would be (not a day 1 starter) he decided to leave

Not really even close to what you said.
What I said was a bit harsh and I should’ve elaborated. But me saying Lipsey and Eli are at different levels currently is not wrong

Most backup 5’s in the country are limited. Rob is honestly no worse than most backup centers in the country his biggest issue is that his usage is wayyyy too high. Osun was so hot and cold this year which caused Rob to have to play more than he should’ve, and then of course we ended up seeing him step into Osun’s starting spot to end the year.

I’d love Jones back as my backup center. He’s going to outwork almost every guy on the court. I just don’t want him to start and he has to get better from the line.

I think that was the rub with pretty much everyone...........his usage. And I sort of disagree with Osun being hot or cold being the reason why he had to play more, because it didn't matter how Osun started the game, fouls/no fouls, no scoring/all the points, no rebounds/every rebound.......at the 17:00 mark Bob was going in. Like putting a quarter in a machine and watch him march out.

I do wish they would’ve let Shoon feel himself out and not schedule Rob coming in like that but Shoon fouled stupidly and he also was constantly gassed.

I really dislike the writing off of Eli King after he didn't make an immediate impact his freshman season. Williams/Stanz know more than I do, but Eli made the leap from a small high school to P6, is a great teammate, and he seems to have the physical tools necessary to play at this level.

I hope we're not at the point where if players don't earn immediate playing time they're run off, but maybe we are.
If we did this Naz would have bever earned the "Cowboy Killer" nickname!!

Has anyone seen Fish play in person? I'm curious about his style. Anyone we can compare him to?

Aging myself, but Corliss Williamson. On the shorter side of a power forward (6'6) but does not play small. Everything I've seen is he overpowers opponents taller than him. Great body control. Great footwork and can finish around the rim. Outside game does not seem to be his thing. Not sure if his mid range or 3pt game is bad, just have not seen enough film of him attempting those shot so can't say either way.

Agree. If anyone should be disappointed with center play, it shouldn't be at Robert. He's the backup. Osun didn't produce like I thought he would (or Robert wouldn't have had to play so much that many of you hated.) Rob works hard on defense and improved alot from last year. Good for a back up. Osun could have used some of Rob's toughness.

If he's the second coming of Kenny Pratt that would be amazing.

Now would be a GREAT time for a all hand son deck We Will donor match drive..

Even better could also run a donor tree drive like the CRTC (wrestling) with matching over it..
